Our Business

Morehouse Pet Sitting was born from an innate love of animals.  I also know how difficult it is to find quality in home pet care for my own pets.  I have been pet sitting for friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members for years.  I greatly enjoy the company of animals and wanted to find some way to  incorporate them into a career.  As I was always watching someone's pet, the next logical step was to start pet sitting full time.  I strive to duplicate your pet's daily routine and give them plenty of attention & affection while you are away.

Who We Are

My love of animals started early, as I have been around all types of animals since before I could walk.  Some of the pets I have owned include; rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, fish and I have even owned a salamander!  I grew up literally next to the Purdue Vet Farm in West Lafayette, IN on 2 acres of wooded land.  Every day I was surrounded by horses, donkeys, chickens, cows, deer, rabbits, etc.  I currently own 3 dogs & 3 cats of varying ages.  Their pictures are shown throughout the website, as well as other animals I have fostered and/or cared for.

I graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Psychology & Sociology, with a minor in English Literature.  I have taken a couple of semesters of Vet Tech courses through Purdue's online program simply for the pleasure of learning more about animals. 

My hobbies include reading, camping, and working with rescue organizations to help foster or find suitable homes for their many needy animals.  I belong to Best Friend's Animal Society, the Humane Society of the United States, NRDC, and donate to many other organizations that benefit wildlife and the environment.
